MyDeenCamp Islamic Academy is dedicated to nurturing minds and hearts through a comprehensive blend of Islamic education and community involvement. Since our founding in 2019, we have quickly become a trusted source of knowledge and spirituality, offering programs for all ages within our community.

Our Weekend Islamic School serves students aged 6 to 18, providing essential knowledge and values for success in today’s world. Our Kids and Youth Program emphasizes leadership and character development, while our Ladies Program offers a space for spiritual growth and empowerment.

At MyDeenCamp, we go beyond memorization, offering deep dives into Tafsir (Quranic interpretation), Seerah (the life of Prophet Muhammad), and practical workshops on Aqeedah and Fiqh, bridging the gap between faith and practice. Our Arabic Grammar courses help students fully understand and appreciate the language of the Quran.

In addition to education, we are dedicated to building a strong community through welfare initiatives and regular gatherings that foster solidarity and belonging.

We want the children to learn the art of leading a balanced life while extracting the most out of both Deen and Duniya. Promoting Islam as a way of life and not just a ritual is the aim behind every course at MyDeenCamp.

FOUNDER / USTADHA

SHUMAILA SHAYAN

Shumaila Shayan, our esteemed Founder and Ustadha, is a dedicated servant of Allah Almighty whose journey began in 2012 with a quest for deeper knowledge of the Quran and its profound teachings. What started as personal exploration evolved into a profound realization: Islam is not a religion of rigidity but a source of beauty, peace, and perfection.

Ustadha Shumaila’s path of self-discovery illuminated the true essence of Islam, prompting her to found MyDeenCamp. Her vision is to nurture a love for Islam among young people, driven by a deep passion to share the enlightenment she has gained.

With a background in Computer Engineering from NED Pakistan and extensive certifications including a 3-year Alimah course in Dubai, a 3-year Taleem ul Quran diploma from Ad Duha, Canada, and Tajweed courses from the Bayyinah Institute, Ustadha Shumaila brings a wealth of educational expertise to her role. Her proficiency in Arabic language and grammar further enriches her ability to educate and guide the youth.

Through MyDeenCamp, Ustadha Shumaila endeavors to impart a true understanding of Islam as a peaceful religion and comprehensive way of life.

My kids love attending their My Deen Camp class every Friday, the Teachers are amazing and my kids( ages 5 and 10) are learning a lot about our religion and Islamic way of living in a fun way Alhumdullilah. They always come back from the Class happy and are excited to share what they learned. Sister Shumaila has chosen a select curriculum, the books are very informative and fun at the same time. I am also taking the Ladies Arabic Grammar Class by My Deen Camp and am learning the basics of Quranic Grammar Alhumdullilah. Sister Shumaila explains everything in a very easy way and I am looking forward to learning more and understanding the language of Quran inshaAllah. I would highly recommend My Deen Camp.
